many ridiculed trillanes for his lack of eloquence and poor reasoning abilities. i agree with the criticism but i would still vote for trillanes as a senator, but never as a president. trillanes is very important to provide a check and balance to the duterte administration.
personally, i cannot make fun of trillanes from the mere fact that he is a PMA graduate. heck i can't even survive 1 week in the pma because of health reasons.
his mutiny against gma is both good and bad in my opinion. it's good because it shows he will risk his life and career to fight for something he believes in. but also bad because it could have escalated and caused humans lives and turmoil. it's also possible their mutiny had a powerful backer and they were just pawns. irregardless, trillanes has paid his dues and spent 7 years in prison.
many people say it was stupid for trillanes to go on bbc. i think it was a brilliant political move even if he was embarrassed by the reporter. the interview cemented him as the de facto leader of the opposition party where he does not have much competition. if trillanes is and always has been a du30 supporter, trillanes would have too many competition and i won't have a reason to vote for trillanes in the next election. but by making himself the front of the opposition, he has greater chance of being re-elected. it's like in business marketing, where it's better to have monopoly on a small market segment than to be selling to a bigger market segment where you have lots of competition.

duterte going after trillanes is actually helping trillanes. maybe they are secret best friends because duterte just won't stop giving trillanes the gift of SIGNIFICANCE. besides, whenever a big guy goes after a small guy, the natural instinct for a normal person is to like the small guy. maybe duterte already forgot that one of the reasons why he won the hearts of the people was that he was just a small guy from a small town. people love underdogs. duterte was an underdog during the election. but now, trillanes is the underdog. so duterte better be careful. if duterte really wants to destroy and hurt trillanes, he would just ignore him and make trillanes look like an annoying dog barking endlessly. OUCH !!! trust me, i know this because everyday i bark at my facebook friends and they just ignore me. nobody clicks like on my facebook posts and it really really really hurts. duterte should follow the example of my facebook friends.
