i was playing a golf tournament with a schoolmate from high school. our school was very left wing - indoctrinated us to socialist values like helping and protecting the poor. so i was shocked to hear my schoolmate asking another schoolmate where he can get a bulldozer because he is going to bulldoze the homes of squatters. OMG !!! a far cry from back in the days when we used to champion the squatters and despise the people we now have become.
another funny thing is that back in high school we were taught that brain drain was a big problem for our country. yet right after college most of my classmates migrated abroad.
however, where it matters the most, our high school delivered. back in high school we kept protesting that our government and military sucked. they were corrupt and oppressive. now, many of my classmates and schoolmates are top government officials and they are doing a phenomenal job. we walked the talk. a big thanks to our high school teachers.
(by the way, i won the tournament - low gross. which means i'm the king of right wingers. my picture was in the local newspaper. heheheh -
very interesting stat: golfers have won nine straight presidential elections dating back to 1980, and eight of the last nine presidential losers were non-golfers.
