200 billion barrels of oil discovered in the philippines. that's second only to saudi arabia which has 300 billion barrels. china is claiming it. filipinos should sacrifice their lives fighting for this oil territory considering the benefits this valuable resource will bring to the filipinos.
but first we have to be aware the government matters. not just the oil. for example venezuela, it has one of the largest proven oil reserves in the world. it has the 3rd worst quality of life index in south america. 28% below the poverty line. meanwhile chile has no oil but has the highest quality of life in latin america. another example is iraq - just think about the quality of life of the iraqis because they have the 3rd largest oil reserves. luckily for the philippines we elect great leaders. president aquino's family gave away their farmlands to the farmers.
BUT HERE IS A BIG WARNING: the elections of cory and pnoy were TWIST OF FATE or divine intervention - emotional sympathy votes for the death of cory and ninoy. therefere, next elections gets more real this time. no more twist of fate or divine intervention. heavily FAVORED to win in the next elections are even better leaders - binays, eraps, marcoses, enriles, etc ... they are very corrupt but they make the poor filipinos happy and that's what's important. these candidates are idolized by the poor.but they make the educated and hard working entrepreneurs miserable. just think about it, if you idolize someone, wouldn't it make you happy if they become very rich and powerful from oil? wouldn't you love to fight in the front lines against china so the leaders and oligarchs and their families will be living in luxury for generations to come? this is probably why oil barrons bush family was in the whitehouse for 20 freakin' years, and governors of biggest states of america. it's not even really corruption. it's corruption but it's corruption by choice. just like if you attend a concert of your favorite rock band and you pay 2 weeks worth of your hard earned income to pay for the ticket just so that your rock idols can enjoy their mansions and private jets, it's ok because they make you happy.
the aquinos gave land to the farmers. no big deal there. our next leaders will give something better to the poor majority - a sense of ownership, self esteem, a feeling that this is their country and they can elect whoever they want, and they can give the middle finger to the educated and hardworking entrepreneurs.
if educated or hardworking filipinos really want to get your share of oil resources, it's easy - TOTB (think outside the box). just line up at the US, canadian, UK or australian embassy and migrate your family. you won't get oil but you will get something better - a visa to land of plenty. to a land where a public school teacher can easily afford 2 luxury cars and a 5 bedroom house. these countries will love to have you and your family especially if you have a good education or professional skills. but don't forget to have fun and vacation in the philippines especially if another erap like president gets elected and brings back the dollar to P60. it's awsome your dollar will like freakin last forever. right now it's a disasterl because the president of the philippines is not corrupt so the economy is great and the dollar is P40. please elect a cool leader so that the economy collapses and the dollar goes back to P60 so i can have more fun in the philippines. i like my country weak and corrupt !!!
every election, DO NOT CAMPAIGN FOR COMPETENT CANDIDATES. INSTEAD MAKE A PLEDGE TO MIGRATE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY IF THESE COOL LEADERS GET ELECTED. launch an information campaign that you, together with many educated, entrepreneurs and hardworking filipinos are like the all star of a team and how it will hurt the team if you leave. we are killjoys !!! we are very uncool people because we prefer higher standard of living. that is why obama mocked romney's net worth, because success is suppose to be uncool. you are suppose to suffer and sacrifice so people will like you. as an extreme example, if you post in facebook your daughter got run over by a car and died, you will get a thousand likes in 5 minutes.
then pray that they still elect the cool likable leaders so you can migrate with a clean conscience. you simply cannot, and should not help people who won't even lift a finger to help themselves. the only finger they will lift is their middle finger towards the educated and entrepreneurs every election.
the words of the prophet are written on my facebook wall and tenement hall. my vision slowly creeping - oil spill in the spratleys turns the white beaches of boracay into black. will the philippines be a member of OPEC? i wonder who will win the contract on the spratleys - halliburton? schlumberger? baker hughes? transocean? core labs? weatherford? i hope it will be dick cheney's halliburton - the leftists will go nuts on the streets of manila. when will we start producing? 2 years from now? 20 years from now? how many barrels a day will we produce? it would be cool if we won't be a member of OPEC and just increase production at will which lowers the price of oil and piss off OPEC. will it be light sweet crude or heavy sour? so when the philippines become rich from oil will the US defense industry oligarchs manufacture a conflict in the philippines or with it's neighbors so that the money we get from oil will just go into buying weapons? that would be so much fun.
but you know what would really be awesome? if by the time philippines starts to harvest our 200 billion barrels of oil, alternative forms of energy have already taken over and oil will be obsolete or $25 a barrel. toinks !!!
