thanking mass shooters

whenever there is a mass shooting, knife attack, or vehicle-ramming attack, it's easy to think the divine intervention happens when the perpetuator gets caught. but i see the divine intervention happening during the motivation or planning stage. because i'm sure the perpetuator knows there are many easier ways to kill as many people as possible without getting caught. they know they will get caught but they still choose the method. it's so weird because i'm angry at the perpetuator but i also want to thank the perpetuator for not choosing to be a mass serial killer or a timothy mcveigh (which my classmate in high school neil villarin help catch by being a chauffer to the FBI investigators in cebu city).

you could also call it an evolutionary or mother nature intervention. note it does not really deflate the religious perspective because you could also view evolution as part of God's grand design. i guess the reason there are very few timothy mcveighs and jack the rippers is because during the caveman/tribal era of human evolution, those born with the defective gene to kill as many humans as possible without getting caught would not be able to spread their defective gene. the reason is back then it's much easier to murder your entire tribe and a caveman without a tribe has very small chance of surviving and spreading his/her gene.
